Thread Lift – Pdos & Silhouette Soft

What is it?
The Thread Lift with Silhouette Soft® is proven to counteract the effects of facial volume loss and will allow you to reduce the signs of ageing safely and effectively. After a Silhouette Soft® treatment, your cheeks will appear slightly elevated, your face will be volumised, and as a result, you will enjoy a more youthful, relaxed and refreshed appearance. The whole process provides rejuvenation but, at the same time and most importantly, it allows you to maintain your facial movements and natural expressions.

How does it work?
Silhouette Soft® works by combining two actions:

• A discreet and immediate lifting effect: as the thread is applied, the doctor reshapes the treated area by means of a double action: compressing and elevating the tissue.
• A gradual and natural regenerating effect: This takes place during the absorption of the component of the thread, which is polylactic acid. This, in turn, triggers your own collagen cells to produce collagen and restores the lost volume of the face.

Elionce™ PDO Threads
What is it?
Elionce™ is a biodegradable premium thread lift treatment, which uses Polydioxanone (PDO) to create a natural, fresher and younger looking face. This thread has been used for the past 30 years in surgical sutures, but recent scientific evidence shows amazing rejuvenating and lifting effects as well. It is a great treatment for anyone suffering from loose or sagging skin, as Elionce™ threads bring a natural, dramatic skin tightening and lifting effect, resulting in a fresher and younger looking face. The threads are suitable for most people from their early 20’s onwards. As ageing causes the skin tissue to thin due to the breakdown of collagen and elastin fibres, this results in sagging skin, deep creases, folds and wrinkles.

Elionce™ threads are introduced beneath the skin into the fat or muscle layers using a fine needle injection, meaning that no cuts or incisions are required. Our specifically designed needles and cannulas are aimed at achieving a smooth and comfortable treatment. A lifting effect is almost instantaneous depending on the area treated, rejuvenating and regenerating the skin whilst bringing a natural improvement to facial structure. Recovery times are usually less than one week, and the results from the procedure will continue to develop over the days and weeks after treatment.

Mini-Thread Ultra V Lift- PDO
What is it?
Ultra V Lift is a popular skin tightening technology for an advanced non-surgical facelift. It has none of the side effects associated with traditional lifting technology and there is no general anaesthesia required.
The Mini-Thread Ultra V Lift can be applied to a number of areas in the face (e.g. eye corners, cheeks, double chin, neck, forehead, laugh lines, nose bridge) and the body (e.g. forearms, abdomen, buttocks).

How does it work?
During the treatment, which lasts between 30 and 45 minutes, our doctor will insert multiple implants of fine threads called polydioxanone (PDO) into targeted areas under the skin to help you to achieve a ‘V-shaped’ face, a fresher looking neck and jawline.
The threads create a network of support under the skin stimulating also your own natural formation of collagen and elastin.
The Mini-Thread Lift procedure is carried out using different size threads, depending on the treated area. The amount of mini-threads used in each treatment varies depending on the needs of the area for each patient.
The Ultra V Lift treatment can also be combined with other procedures to maximize the desired aesthetic effect and to meet individual needs. During your free consultation, Dr Liakas will discuss the size and amount of threads recommended for the area you wish to have treated.

What are the benefits?
The results are smooth, silky skin and a tightening effect from the inside out. The treatment is pain-free and there is minimal swelling or bruising.
You can see the effects shortly after treatment, but they are most effective within approximately 2 months after the application. The threads will be absorbed within 4 months. The collagen production continues after the absorption of the threads with lasting effects for another 6 to 8 months.

Are there side effects?
Side effects that may be associated most often are temporary redness at the insertion points, slight swelling in the area and occasionally there may be some bruising for a few days. Additional sessions may be necessary to maintain the result, which usually lasts for 1 year or more.
